It depicts a fast-changing modern China and the social violences that result. It is the first time that the director is awarded in Cannes, after previously two films in competition, 24 City (in competition at Cannes in 2008) and I Wish I Knew (Un Certain Regard in 2010). MK2 deals with the international sales of all the three feature films.

Le Drive-In, icône du cinéma en plein air, est transposé dans l’un des édifices les plus célèbres de Paris pour accueillir jusqu’à 1.000 spectateurs par séance: une expérience cinématographique unique devant un écran de 25 mètres confortablement installé dans des voitures de la famille Fiat 500, des vrais sièges de cinéma ou des transats. Plusieurs séances par jours sont ouvertes à la réservation.

Un pass « Dégustation Moët » permettra aux cinéphiles d’accéder à un espace Moët & Chandon pour déguster une flûte de Moët Impérial puis de prendre place dans l’une des voitures pour y visionner le film.

 

Mais « Cinema Paradiso » c’est aussi un lieu de vie et de loisirs ouvert de 11h du matin à tard dans la nuit proposant :

La restauration

Le Diner Américain : Omnivore fait venir exceptionnellement depuis Montréal la chef Gita Seaton et son diner du quartier branché de Mile End « Nouveau Palais ». 400 couverts sous la verrière du Grand Palais pour dévorer des burgers 100% nord-américains.

Le Bar du diner proposera en exclusivité la formule « Moët et Lobster », un merveilleux sandwich au homard biologique accompagné d’une flûte de champagne Moët & Chandon Impérial.

Petit piège au grand palais : Le chef Jean-François Piège ouvrira, pendant toute la durée de l’événement, le plus petit restaurant gastronomique du monde : 4 couverts, trois fois par jour pour une expérience unique et inoubliables.

Le Sugar Bar ravira les gourmets : baba au rhum, tartes du jour sucrées ou salées, cafés gourmands… amoureusement concoctés par Gilles Fraioli et servis sur la spectaculaire mezzanine du Grand Palais.

Et pour rester dans l’expérience américaine, Le Glacier et Milkshake bar transporteront les plus gourmands à travers une expérience rafraichissante tout en douceur.

Le clubbing

Chaque soir, un créateur de tendances ou un grand acteur des nuits parisiennes prendra les commandes du « Cinema Paradiso SuperClub » pour des fêtes jusqu’au bout de la nuit: Club Sandwich, Kitsuné, Le Baron, O-Five, colette, Wanderlust…

La mise en lumière de l’espace sera réalisée par SUPERBIEN: une horloge temporelle, des néons, le rétro futur, Broadway at night, le digital version années 80, le tout sur un mur de 30m de long et 10 m de haut.

Les loisirs

La piste Disco Roller par La Clique permettra de faire du roller en musique sur une piste circulaire au son d’un DJ. Petits et grands peuvent venir avec leurs rollers ou en emprunter sur place.

L’exposition l’Age d’Or du Jeu Vidéo offrira un impressionnant espace de jeux sur près de 1000 mètres carrés. Des dizaines de bornes d’arcade vintage, flippers, baby-foot soit plus de 100 jeux collectors seront accessibles gratuitement.

L’exposition L’Echappée Belle

A travers plus de 50 œuvres, L’Echappée Belle proposera un parcours pour montrer que la puissance créative et l’audace sont les armes dont nous avons besoin pour sortir de la crise.
